Beneath One Sky: Songs of Reflection, Connection, and Light

Music stage for a free performance. All three artists bring a wealth of experience, artistry, and mutual understanding to their performance. A pre-concert talk with the performers begins at 7:00 p.m. This appearance reflects deep artistic connections. As departing Artistic & Executive Director Sam Handley notes, “Majeski and Karanas memorably co-starred in The Passenger at Lyric Opera of Chicago, and all three artists share deep professional ties with one another and with me.” Their long-standing professional relationships and shared musical history ensure a performance marked by nuance, expressive power, and the unmistakable energy of colleagues and friends making music together.

Expect vocal fireworks and the joy of musical collaboration as soprano Amanda Majeski, mezzo-
soprano Daveda Karanas, and collaborative pianist Alan Darling take the Green Lake Festival of
Music stage for a free performance. Majeski and Karanas memorably co-starred in The
Passenger at Lyric Opera of Chicago, and all three artists bring a wealth of experience, artistry,
and mutual understanding to their performance. A pre-concert talk with the performers begins at

A limited number of courtesy seats are available for this performance. If you are traveling a significant distance or have specific needs, you’re welcome to reach out in advance at donna@greenlakefestival.org. Courtesy seating is held until 10 minutes before the performance in a designated section, after which it is released to general admission. All other seating remains first-come, first-served.
