Chamber Music Institute – First Faculty Concert

A marvelous mix of professional string players brings the rich tradition of the string serenade to life in this free Green Lake Festival of Music Chamber Music Institute faculty concert. Violinist Salley Koo joins violists Chauncey Patterson and Elizabeth Oakes, with cellist Michael Mermagen, for an evening spanning Classical elegance to Romantic color. The program features Giacomo Zucchi’s charming Serenata No. 1, Beethoven’s spirited Serenade in D Major, Op. 8, and Ernö Dohnányi’s vibrant Serenade for String Trio, displaying lyricism, dance rhythms, and dazzling interplay. This free performance highlights the Institute’s mission of learning through instruction, collaboration, and example, with 2026 faculty Annie Fullard, Jesse Holstein, Salley Koo, Elizabeth Oakes, Chauncey Patterson, Michael Mermagen, and Gregory Sauer. Approximate program length: 60 minutes. Don’t miss the pre-concert talk at 7:00 p.m.
